We acquired a box of 30" NOS O.P. Link hickory handles and used a few on which to hang our Acadian 1/2 wedge axe. These beautiful old handles with a nice (well "perfect") Link label on them marry up well with our 2.75 lb. half wedge forged from U.S. 1045 carbon steel. Comes with a leather sheath made by our friends at Holler Leatherworks in Minot, ME.
